In 1897 Don Pietro Andrucci, parish priest of S. Piero in Bagno, entrusted the architect Spighi with the task of preparing the project for a new parish church. Today the church, majestic and elegant, with sandstone capitals finely crafted by skilful local stonemasons, preserves some works of art of great value.
