Teatro Politeama Garibaldi in Palermo is currently the second most important stage in the city after Teatro Massimo and the seat of the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana. The main entrance to it has the shape of a triumphal arch topped with a bronze quadriga, representing the "Triumph of Apollo and Euterpe", a symbolic triumph of art, music and lyrical poetry. An interesting fact is that in the 1930s there was a circus Arbell in the theater building, in which the main roles were played by gymnasts, jugglers, riders, horses, camels and lion tamers.
