The first reliable mention of the former settlement of Schüpfingen can be found in the goods book of the Tennenbach monastery (1317-41). Accordingly, it is said to have been a small settlement with seven to eight households.

It is reported from 1469 that Schüpfingen was burned down during acts of war. The municipality of Malterdingen documents this year that they have bought the goods of the village "Slüpfingen, uff dem Walde lain".

The municipality of Malterdingen had taken over the settlement as a Tennenbacher inheritance and had to pay the corresponding taxes to the monastery.

In 1426 and again in 1702 there were border disputes between Freiamt and Malterdingen. However, the Schlüpfinger Hof remains part of Malterdingen. After the Tennenbach monastery was secularized, Margrave Karl Friedrich von Baden transferred ownership of the Künzelisberg Forest and the Gutswald with the Schlüpfinger Hof to the municipality of Malterdingen "for ever".

Since 1776, the tenants of the farm have been documented in the municipal archive in Malterdingen. In 1875 the farm lessee was granted a license for an inn.
