The coastal canal has been connecting the Hunte in Oldenburg with the Dortmund-Ems canal near Dörpen since 1935. Bridges cross the canal again and again and offer beautiful views of the ships and along the water. This bridge here is at the level of Esterwegen, between the Esterwegen memorial and the "Esterweger Dose" nature reserve.
