Great views in all directions. Nice trail descent towards Seiffen (you can also drive up). Both driveways (trail and asphalt) invite you to sprint.

"At 787.4 m above sea level, the Schwartenberg is one of the highest mountains in the Eastern Ore Mountains. The mountain, which is part of the Ore Mountains/Vogtland Nature Park, is located east of Olbernhau between the communities of Neuhausen in the north and Seiffen in the south-west.
The Schwartenberg is like the next highest, about three kilometers to the south, 822.9 m above sea level. NHN Hohe Ahornberg is a ridged and degraded remainder of the plateau of the Erzgebirge crest that has been detached from deep erosion. It mainly consists of gray gneiss, which is fine-grained, dense and with a small amount of feldspar at the summit. This causes the comparative hardness with which the peak resisted erosion. Seen from the Flöhatal in particular, the free-standing Schwartenberg dominates the landscape, although it is not the highest elevation in the vicinity of Neuhausen and Seiffen." - de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwartenberg
From a distance you can also see the striking, active Schartenbergbaude and the transmission mast. There is really a fantastic all-round view to the south of the mountains of the Ore Mountains, to the west of the Fichtelberg and the Keilberg, to the north of Sayda and the Saydahöhe and to the east of the Rauschenbach dam and the Flöhatal.
