The Göhrener Tor is one of the historic buildings that were originally at certain intervals exactly on the border line. Similar structures are known from oral records at other points between Fleyh and Deutscheinsiedel. These structures, which resemble an open barn, were part of a centuries-old game gate of varying sizes, which is still located in Czech territory about a kilometer away. The gate itself was created for deer husbandry after the Lichtenwald hunting lodge (1761 - 1765) was built.
The Göhrener Tor was probably built around 1890, where the game gate with 2575 hectares and around 600 pieces of game reached its greatest extent.
The game shied away from the depth of the gate and the resulting tunnel effect, and a breakout from the game gate was largely prevented.More information: erz.krusnohorci.cz/ausflugstipps/421-gohrener-tor
