Hiking

Most people seem to start their hike in Magome so this part of the trail from Nakatsugawa was incredibly quiet. The walk to Magome from here was pleasantly challenging up and down. Drinks were readily available as were toilets! The scenery was incredible, all senses catered for, and not a bear in sight! Apparently this path was restored about 40 years ago; it used to be maintained by one family back in the Edo period. Enjoy your trail! Only another 68 towns to walk to ;)
