An unusual place for Palma and the last undeveloped stretch of beach in the city. 'Es Carnatge' east of Palma is a real nature retreat, and is probably better known to locals as 'Playa de perros', meaning 'dog beach'. Since 2013, the part between Cala Gamba in the west and Can Pastilla in the east has officially had this status. With the plans of the island government published a few weeks ago to protect this area, it is not certain whether the insider tip will exist as before.
