The alpine hut, which is well managed by the owner, is a popular place to go for young and old in summer. The nearby Umbal waterfalls also ensure that the Islitzeralm is always well frequented. It takes 20 minutes to get to the Alm from the Ströden car park. Johannes and his kitchen team serve a great mushroom goulash and a hearty sausage salad. The visit is advisable in the late afternoon.
