A nice place to walk or relax. This city park is located on the edge of the city center and is traversed by the Jeker.
The park is located on the west bank of the Meuse. The park has looked different over the centuries. It was already a hiking spot at the beginning of the 18th century. From 1837 the park was officially called Stadswandelpark. Around 1860 the park was tackled. Leuven landscape gardener Liévin Rosseels then designed an English garden, complete with manicured paths. Today the park consists of a number of different parts, each with its own atmosphere and function. With a large lawn and in a part with a deer enclosure and an aviary.
