    Valdštejn Castle is located on the western edge of the rock town of Hruba Skála. It was founded in the 13th century by the Markwartinger family, from whom the famous commander from the Thirty Years' War, Generalissimo Albrecht von Wallenstein, descended.
    In the Baroque period, the castle became a well-known destination for pilgrimages.
    The area is characterized by the romantic presentation from the 19th century. The stone access bridge with baroque statues and the chapel of St. John of Nepomuk with the portrait of John the Baptist are of exceptional cultural value.
    Regular cultural events - concerts, fencing performances, church masses, theatrical performances and much more - take place at Valdštejn Castle.
