On the slopes of Caminha, the silence is only interrupted by the distant whisper of the Atlantic Ocean, a soft echo of immensity. Down below, an infinite blue stretches as far as the eye can see, merging with the sky and cut out by the green of the forests, the white of the sands and the scattered houses. The landscape unfolds from the mouth of the River Minho, gliding along the beach of Moledo to the Ínsua de Santo Isidro, where the old fort holds memories of the past. The gaze continues on, crossing the Pinhal do Camarido, until it rests on the imposing Monte de Santa Tecla, in Spain.

Its shape is reminiscent of a small volcano, but there was something even grander there: the ancient citadel of Santa Tegra, an ancient city where, in the 4th century BC, between three and five thousand people lived.
