Praça Conselheiro Silva Torres and Historic Center of Caminha

Caminha is a municipality that is part of the Viana do Castelo district and where both the historic center and the coast are worth a visit. The beaches bathed by the Atlantic are of fine white sand and still preserve the dunes.

Its traffic-calmed center around the central square, Praça Concelheiro Silva Torres, with its neo-Manueline fountain (built between 1551 and 1553 by the experienced master João Lopes o Velho) and street cafes is now a major attraction and is truly beautiful, hard to tear yourself away from.
