The Neuland lighthouse is located on the Kiel Bay, between Hohwacht Bay and Kiel Fjord, near the town of Behrensdorf.[2] It is not operated by the Waterways and Shipping Administration, but by the German Federal Armed Forces. The tower can be visited twice a year in the summer as part of an open day organized by the municipality of Behrensdorf with the support of the German Federal Armed Forces. Since 2010, weddings have also been possible in the tower.
