The Yellow Bridge is located over the pike pond. This pond was so named because it used to be where pike were bred for meals in the deposit. However, the name has just as much to do with the shape of the pond, which has something of a pike with its jagged banks.
In 2011, the former simple wooden bridge was replaced by a reconstruction of the bridge that lay here in the 19th century, then called the Yellow Bridge. The reconstruction was made on the basis of two sketches made in 1835 and 1843.
