House No. 1 from 1605, also known as Happach's house, is the most representative half-timbered building in the entire area. A real sight.

Master butcher Kurt Neundorf, son of the landlord of the former Zum Straufhain inn in Streufdorf, came to Heldburg in 1931 and bought house no. 1 on the Häfenmarkt from the Heubner brewery in Themar. It was the time of inflation, and Kurt Neundorf had to pay 2,000 gold marks as stable currency for the property in Heldburg. His grandson, Dr. Ulrich Neundorf to report. As old photos show, the house was pretty run down at the time.

House No. 1 in Heldburg is characterized by its particularly delicate half-timbered architecture. You don't see something like that every day and especially not everywhere.
