The Siebenmühlental is a popular leisure destination in the region around Leinfelden, Böblingen and Waldenbuch. The name comes from the original seven mills, all powered by the Reichenbach that flows through the valley. Over time, more mills were added, but only the donkey mill is still in operation today. Incidentally, the valley used to be called Reichenbachtal, but was then renamed Siebenmühlental for tourist reasons. Although it is often overcrowded on weekends and there is a lot of bicycle traffic, there are also some more comfortable paths in the valley floor at the edge of the forest. There are also all kinds of places to stop, such as the Waldmeister beer garden, here at the beginning or end of the valley.

Nice route through the forest from the Burkhardtsmühle to Musberg near Leinfelden-Echterdingen. Approx. 8 km of moderate ascent, so it is also easy to drive uphill.

The Siebenmühlental and the Aichtal are an ideal cycling area with great routes for all levels of training. When the weather is nice, you will meet countless cyclists and especially runners on the bike path in the Siebenmühlental.
