The nevera. Not far from the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve, located on top of Mount Cervati, there is a karst sinkhole characterized by the perennial presence of snow and for this reason known as Nevera.

La Nevera is a deep hole in the rock which in the past was used as a refrigerator for storing food. The snow that accumulated inside made the place cool for long periods.
