On the route of the absolutely recommendable Ems cycle path, shortly after the underpass of the B 401 comes the waterway crossing Ems-coastal canal. Here the ways for the inland waterwaymen separate, depending on whether they have to go to Emden, Oldenburg or Dortmund.
Sometimes you are lucky and can watch quite large cargo ships come around the curve from the coastal canal to the Ems. Just pay attention to it and have fun on the tour of the Ems and Dortmund-Ems Canal!
