I myself needed because of my still a bit existing fear of heights a lot of overcoming to make this tightrope walk .... but since you have to focus on the way that went amazingly well. Especially the first time, I would definitely go only in dry weather, so that the way is not too slippery .... after that everyone can judge for themselves .....
Especially the places where you have to scramble a little, are more of the trickier places. You have to look very good that every kick is sitting .... but there are always a bit wider places, so that you can enjoy just the fantastic view.

The ridge path that leads across the Marwees is an alpine blue / white marked path, which in any case requires head for heights and surefootedness. Also, in such ways, the weather is always good mitzubeachten, in snow, wet, frozen ground, very strong wind, etc., such ways quickly become very delicate and a retreat in a sudden weather change can be difficult. On the way there are several short Kraxelstellen and also exposed areas, those places are not secured and therefore require really good surefootedness, because slipping on this way could have fatal consequences. Most of the time the ridge path is not extremely narrow and there are also some wider spots. The view on all sides is stunningly beautiful and very impressive and for vertigo-free hikers an absolute highlight!

The Marwees, a beautiful grass ridge with a gigantic beautiful view of the Alpstein. Surefootedness is essential, especially on wet days, and you should be free from giddiness.
