St. Marien, Kapellenstraße: In the years 1863 to 1866, the parish church of St. Marien was built according to plans by the Cologne diocesan master builder Vincenz Statz right next to the Kalk chapel as a three-aisled neo-Gothic brick hall church with a tower over 50 meters high. In 1867 the church was consecrated. During the Second World War the church was badly damaged. The reconstruction, including old parts of the building, took place between 1950 and 1952 according to plans by Rudolf Schwarz. In the years 1968/1969, windows based on designs by Georg Meistermann were installed in the church.
