According to the author Beguer i Pinyol (p. 91), this hermitage was considered the gateway to the Desert de Cardo, and in addition to the hermitage it had a covered porch. It had to be rectangular in plan, small in size, with a double-sloped roof and gable. Along the walls that formed the oratory there are twelve niches, six on each side, which must have had images of saints, currently non-existent. The roof is completely collapsed and the walls are in very bad condition.
The hermitage of the angel was consecrated on March 19, 1612. When the monks were exclaustrated, in 1835, it was abandoned. During the years that the monastery functioned as a spa, the waters of its source were used, we assume the same as the hermitage.
