Of the set of hermitages that surround the old Carmelite convent of Sant Hilari de Cardó, later converted into a spa, the most impressive is, without a doubt, that of Sant Simeó, known as that of the Column due to its location, above a rocky crag in the form of a column. Stairs, open on the side of the rock, allow access. It was consecrated in 1612 and had, as was usual in hermitages, the cell and the oratory.
Its general condition is quite good but, it should be noted that the floor of the first level is a bit precarious and you have to cross it to get to the upper terrace and you also have to go under it to get to the terrace lower.
In any case, we could say that it is the jewel in the crown of the Cardó hermitage.
