This rock face is probably the most difficult part of the Tridentina via ferrata, which leads from the parking lot below the Gardena Pass up to the Pisciadu hut. Long traffic jams often form on this rock face due to the difficult climbing passages. In addition, the exit from this rock face is via a suspension bridge that spans a very deep gap between the rock towers. In addition to the climbing passages on the rock face, the photos also show the suspension bridge with rock cut and views of the via ferrata from further up on the easy path to the Pisciadu hut. The entire via ferrata is very exciting. From the car park to the exit above the suspension bridge, a good 500 meters in altitude have to be overcome. It begins with a path up to a first rock wall with a first shorter part of the via ferrata. After a further path uphill on a path, there is quite a long climb on the rock walls. Three hours should be planned (or more if it gets very busy!).

If you are already at the start at 7:00 a.m. at the beginning of June, you will be the first and can enjoy this otherwise very popular via ferrata alone.

Technically not demanding and fully suitable for beginners with a good general condition (note the descent!).

The via ferrata itself has to be slowly renovated because there are now and then shaky positions and places where something is simply fixed with cable ties

A few hundred meters below the Gardena Pass, the path starts leading to the start of the via ferrata Brigata Tridentina, which climbs up to the Pisciadù refuge
