Furreby Church was built around 1200 in a typically Romanesque style. It is built of large hewn blocks of granite and, despite its modest size, sits majestically on Furreby Hill

The church in Furreby was built in the Romanesque style in the 12th century. The base is made of profiled granite blocks. The bell is hung in a bell tower in the cemetery. It probably comes from the church in Kettrup, which was closed in 1551.

The church in Furreby was built in the Romanesque style in the 12th century. The base is made of profiled granite blocks. The bell is hung in a bell tower in the cemetery. It probably comes from the church in Kettrup, which was closed in 1551.
The nave was extended to the west in 1937.
It is built of old granite blocks and yellow bricks. In the interior you can see an altarpiece that was made from an originally Gothic cabinet in the Renaissance. The figures were removed during the Reformation and were only replaced in 1860 by a copy by the famous Danish sculptor Thorvaldsen.
The original church decoration can be seen in the Vendsyssel Historical Museum in Hjørring. The seven-branched candlestick on the altar and the two chandeliers were donated to the church in 1928. The Romanesque granite baptismal font is deeply carved because the candidates for baptism used to be completely submerged. Today a brass bowl is inlaid. The pulpit is late Gothic. The nave is a gift from 1909. The church is lit by candlelight.

Services in Furreby Church are only held at Easter, Pentecost and Christmas and during the summer months.
