The telecommunications tower stands on the highest elevation in Schleswig-Holstein, the Bungsberg. The 179 m high tower was built between 1975 and 1977 by the then Deutsche Bundespost. A viewing platform at a height of 40 m invites visitors to enjoy an impressive 360° view over Holstein Switzerland. The viewing platform can only be reached via stairs.
