Idyllic valley with a small stream behind which relatively high rocks rise.
In the front area it is nice to ride, in the rear there are a few places where you can either push the bike up short steps next to it (especially with eBikes with a pushing aid) or carry it up briefly for a sporty stop.

Text from the flyer circular hiking trail 1 Gesees:
"An Eldorado for those interested in geology and botany
The valley of the Funkenbach (sometimes also ThalmĂŒhlbach, Geseeser Bach
or called Saubach) cuts through the hard Rhaetolian sandstone layers below Gesees and forms a gorge-like valley with its rugged valley walls.
The RhÀtolias sandstone forms numerous aesthetic and geologically interesting weathering forms. Due to its remote location (no traffic routes), the valley also has a large number of natural plant communities. Elms, ash trees, willows and black alders can be found on the trees in the valley floor. You will find numerous rare and protected plants, such as the forest angelica, the garlic mustard, the five-petalled flowers of the avens, the marsh cranesbill and the field bellflower.
Superlatives in the literature when describing the beauty of the valley In the tourist literature, the Funkenbachtal is praised in the highest Töhen as a natural monument of immeasurable value. As early as 1889, HĂŒhnlein described it as a "highly romantic valley"; and in the guide "All around Bayreuth" from 1933 it was even described as "Little Franconian Switzerland".

Crossing the stream in the direction of Mistelbach is pointless by bike

Unfortunately there is little water and the washed out rock face is difficult to see through the bushes except in a few places.
