Perched on top of a hill, Montepulciano is a medieval town well worth a visit. The heart of this city full of Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, splendid squares and small hidden corners is Piazza Grande (where the Bravio delle Botti is held), but don't forget to also explore Porta al Prato or Porta delle Farine, the Corso, the Colonna del Marzocco, Palazzo Avignonesi or the tower-house.
