Lauscaux II is the first replica of the cave, which is only a few hundred meters away and no longer open to the public. As Lauscaux IV opened in 2016, many fewer visitors are lost here. Nevertheless, the cave drawings have lost nothing of their value. Like Lascaux IV, this is always worth a visit!

Lauscaux I was discovered in 1940. Today, it is only available to scientists for inspection. The short walk from Laucaux II and a view over or through the fence is still worthwhile.

Lascaux 1 has long been closed to the public. The location in the middle of the forest is a must-see, the area is video-monitored and fenced in, but only 200 m down the hill there is Lascaux 2, where everything has been recreated, and another 500 m further at the foot of the mountain is Lascaux 4, the last one Replica, where the original cave was reconstructed with an accuracy of 0.1 mm using the latest technology and painted true to the original. Must see!
