The Alster rises in Schleswig-Holstein and flows through the city of Hamburg until it finally flows into the Elbe. Here on the Meenk Bridge you can get a wonderful view of Hamburg's quiet lifeline. You can clearly see the Haus der Jugend Lattenkamp boathouse from here and the Meenkwiese on the other bank is just a stone's throw away.

The Alster is a 56 km long tributary of the Elbe and flows through southern Holstein and Hamburg. The best-known and most striking part of the Alster is the Alstersee, which is formed in the inner-city area of Hamburg by the Inner and Outer Alster. (Source: WIki)

It's particularly beautiful here, with a small meadow and beer garden next door.
