After the Hungarian invasions, it was rebuilt in its current location in Gothic style and consecrated in 1507 by Auxiliary Bishop Bernhard von Passau. Martin Resch, who was the parish priest of Vorchdorf from 1668 to 1704 and later Abbot of Kremsmünster, began the Baroque conversion, which lasted until the last quarter of the 18th century. At that time, the church served as the pilgrimage church "Maria Trost im Thale".
