The branch church in Einsiedling is dedicated to St. Saint Bartholomew and the Saint Bartholomew Festival is something very special hereThe original place name was St. Bartholome, but due to an unconfirmed story that a monk lived here as a hermit, the district of Vorchdorf has been called a hermit for around 700 years. Parts of the church (choir and sacristy) were replaced by conglomerate and brick in the 15th century, until then it was a Romanesque wooden building. The nave was only rebuilt in the 17th century. After a thorough restoration between 1991 and 2008, the church is now a gem worth seeing in the beautiful landscape of the Almtal.
Drive from Vorchdorf in the direction of Lederau, the church is in the district of Einsiedling on the left-hand side
