Cycle and walking path built on the route of an old horse drawn tramway linking Ticknall to Ashby. The route passes through the Calke Abbey estate on a gentle slope and through a couple of tunnels. The surface is limestone and gravel and is a little loose in dry weather. Generally quiet and a way of exploring parts of the Calke estate away from the popular National Trust house. Nice track but be careful going into the tunnels as it's pitch dark in there especially on a bright day and it's very disorientating!
