Bolsdorfer Tälchen

The local recreation area Bolsdorfer Tälchen has good cycling and hiking trails. There is a barefoot path to discover. Whether on foot or by bike, the valley offers great highlights for everyone. These include: the Hillesheim city wall, the lake and the biotope in Hillesheim, but also the historic bakery or the "Small Museum Bolsdorf" (unfortunately closed due to Corona) in Bolsdorf are worth seeing. The valley is on the 9th stage of the Eifelsteig, but the route also has its charm as a circular route with various possible routes.
Karla's fitness path, which is signposted many times along the route, offers many stations where you can exercise differently.
For me, this is one of the most beautiful recreational areas in the Hillesheim region.

In the valley, near the village of Bolsdorf, the path leads through a caldera. This can be clearly seen from the circular rocky remains of the crater rim.

The idyllic Bolsdorfer Tächen is certainly one of the most beautiful sections on the 9th stage of the Eifelsteig from Hillesheim to Gerolstein. Definitely a highlight for nature lovers.

Very nice valley

The Bolsdorfer Tälchen is a beautiful section and definitely a very special highlight of our stage. So it's no wonder that there were a lot of people on our hike here. Please plan a little more time for this in order to enjoy the valley to the full, it's worth it.
