Bolsdorfer Valley

In the valley, near the village of Bolsdorf, the path leads through a caldera. This can be clearly seen from the circular rocky remains of the crater rim.

The Bolsdorfer Tälchen recreation area has good cycling and hiking trails. There is a barefoot path to discover. Whether on foot or by bike, the valley offers great highlights for everyone. These include: the Hillesheim city wall, the lake and the biotope in Hillesheim, but also the historic bakery or the "Little Museum Bolsdorf" (unfortunately closed due to Corona) in Bolsdorf are worth seeing. The valley is on the 9th stage of the Eifelsteig, but the route also has its charm as a circular route with various possible routes. Karla's fitness trail, which is signposted many times along the route, offers many stations where you can do different physical activities. For me, this is one of the most beautiful recreation areas in the region around Hillesheim.
