A beautiful listed villa from the early 20th century, called the "Schlösschen", on Anton-Raky-Weiher.

As in an English landscape park, the gatehouse of Anton Raky's former villa is located on the shore of the pond.
Anton Raky was an inventor, engineer, and entrepreneur who made a name for himself with the development of drilling machines for mining. He planned a huge villa here on the pond, but it was never completed and eventually blown up in the 1970s.

Anton Raky had a villa built near the Motte Alde Berg in 1903, but it was never finished and was blown up and demolished in 1972 by the then owner Sophia-Jacoba colliery. At the site of the building there is now the fisherman's pond. The former gatehouse, affectionately known as the "little castle", was spared from the blast. The artificially created Anton-Raky-Weiher, which is fed by the Helpensteinbach, creates a wonderful postcard idyll.
