The Baroque Lady Chapel dates from 1637 and is partly built in Balegem stone. She stands in the shadow of a majestic Dutch winter lime. You can relax in the shade of the lime tree on the bench next to the chapel.
The lime tree is said to have been planted in the year the chapel was built. However, based on the trunk circumference, among other things, it is an 18th-century specimen. It is one of the five oldest lime trees in Flanders and its trunk has a circumference of 479 cm.
