Lac de l’Hongrin is located in the canton of Vaud in the communes of Château-d’Oex and Ormont-Dessous. The water is processed in the Veytaux power station and then flows into Lake Geneva. In this way, the catchment area of the Hongrin, which drains to the Rhine, is partly fed to the Rhone via the European main watershed. The area around Lac de l'Hongrin is a military firing range, so that on weekdays access is often restricted or not possible at all.

Beautiful landscape, a reservoir with a few places to go into the water (not everywhere).

You should definitely follow this path if you want to hike close to the bank of the reservoir. This way you avoid part of the road that leads to the dam.
