The Eisengattergrat describes the easiest way up and the recommended way down from the Grosser Bettelwurf. The upper part is a via ferrata with difficulty levels A/B, the lower part is a normal hiking trail that is somewhat exposed in places. Danger of falling rocks, especially in the upper part, so a helmet is recommended.

The Eisengattergrat can be used for the ascent and descent to the large begging throw,

You don't get to the small begging throw this way. If you want to take the small begging throw with you, you have to cross the begging throw from the west.

The Eisengattergrat is equipped with a steel cable and rated with the via ferrata difficulty A/B. Anyone who can move safely in alpine terrain will not need a climbing harness. The steel cable is more of a handrail in alpine walking terrain. A helmet is recommended because of the risk of falling rocks.
