From here the fate of the Banat Swabians starts, on several memorial stones the fate of the Banat Swabians is recorded, who settled parts of Romania in the 18th century and partly also came from the Hotzenwald.

    Hiking

In the late 18th century, rinderpest was rife in the south of the Black Forest. Miraculously, however, the cattle of the Hotzenwälder farmers were spared the plague. To thank the farmers built the Badlands Chapel.

Except in winter, the chapel is accessible at all times. In addition, next to the chapel a rest area with barbecue.
