At the end of the long paved beach promenade the trail turns to gravel and then ends where the cliffs come very close to the water. For the 500th anniversary of Le Havre an artist erected a tall statue here of a man carrying his daughter on the shoulders, looking out over the sea to the 'end of the world'.
