The Strada degli Alpini runs along the rocky wall of Mount La Gialina and overhangs it, offering breathtaking views of the valley below and the neighboring mountains, but it is as beautiful as it is dangerous.
For the passage of mtb it is a very exposed rocky road, and consequently it must be faced with the right regard and with the awareness of one's riding skills.
In some places the Strada degli Alpini narrows, especially at the hairpin bends and therefore, since we are uphill, it is recommended to get off the bike and push it by hand, as well as on small landslides that obstruct the path (see attached photos).
Do not pedal in pairs and keep a fair distance between one cyclist and the other in order to avoid sudden dangerous stops on steep and stony climbs that make it difficult to balance when starting off again.

Spectacular road. A bit narrow in some places, to be traveled with caution. Overall it is very smooth and being a former military road the slope is almost constant.
