    As a tired hiker you come up the hill, over rough stubby meadow without any mark. And then you see on the hilltop the Café Seeblick, a fine terrace with a wide view over the landscape - that's what promise looks like. Strategically better you can not place a cafe.       The café garden of the inn area has always been the chocolate side of the property. Probably nowhere else can you see and understand the Schaalsee better than from the hill in the immediate vicinity of the St. Abundus Church in Lassahn.

      The viewing platform, which stands above the restaurant, is great and actually worth a highlight in its own right. Upstairs there are comfortable armchairs around a table, from which you have the very best views from the elevated position while enjoying a cool drink.

      The gastronomic history of the Seeblick:

      The Pankow family ran the inn from 1925 to 1945. These innkeepers added a floor to the main building in 1936. Gisa and Dieter Redmann ran the restaurant in Lassahn for 35 years from 1967, which was called "Konsumgaststätte" in the GDR era and became the "Schaalseetreff" after the reunification. After a short break, the village inn was taken over by Dieter Redmann in 2004, who ran the business as "Seeblick Lassahn" until 2011. In 2012, the lake view pavilion was built, the outdoor facilities upgraded and operations resumed.
