Located right next to the Cassiopeia thermal baths is Badenweilers most valuable heritage: the Roman Badruine. Experts describe it as one of the best preserved and most impressive thermal ruins north of the Alps. At 93 meters long and 33 meters wide, it is unusually large and unique in the Roman Empire: designed as a strictly symmetrical twin system. It is believed that these are separate bathrooms for women and men. Their technical equipment is remarkable for the time.
