Very nice alternative to the overcrowded path at the lake. Nevertheless, you can walk the circular route and only take this piece off the beaten track. The paths are easily manageable, from time to time you cross a small scree field and are otherwise on beautiful narrow trails.

From time to time there is a wonderful view of the Eibsee from above.
