Hiking
This square, located below the Place de la Poterne and the Amboise fountain, was named after the scientist and philosopher Blaise Pascal (1623-1662). He was the inventor of the first calculating machine, the so-called Pascaline, and was interested in probability theory, but also in the Christian religion, about which he wrote his famous "Pensées" (Thoughts), published posthumously.
