The church was built in the 5th or 6th century, but archaeological evidence suggests that the site was used by Christians as early as the 4th century. Take a look, it's worth it...😃👍🏼

The cathedral in Krk bears the title of the Blessed Virgin Mary. According to the title of the building, it probably existed in the second half of the 5th and the beginning of the 6th century, so its title is linked to the Council of Ephesus (431) and the great celebration on the occasion of the recognition of Mary as the Mother of God. The Romanesque building has been preserved to this day with an exceptionally rich inventory and later minor renovations from the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods.
