The crowning glory of the promenade's redesign, it now stands directly on Hohwacht's spa beach – the 370 m² lake platform made of oak planks. The supporting steel structure is suspended from an approximately 24 m high steel pylon, which also serves as the focal point of this attraction. From the beach at the DLRG (German Rescue Service) tower, a 3 m wide, handicapped-accessible access path leads directly to the flounder. It splits again shortly before the platform and runs past the pylon on both sides.
