Was afraid of the steep access to the pass till I found out that you are actually biking on an old railway track. Smooth inclinations, tunnels, forests, bridges all separated from the main road.
The signage sucks - sorry. But think as a train, whenever you don't know which track to go and there is no sign - take the one where the inclination is less. In 95% of the cases you will be right...
