The 9386 crosses of Carrara marble stand in dead straight rows in an impressive silence. There is a memorial in the central aisle, which is surrounded by trees; in front of it is a pond. On the Mur des Disparus (Wall of the Missing) there are another 1557 names. In 2009, the 65th anniversary of D-Day was held in this cemetery, in the presence of President Obama and Prince Charles, as well as the French president. Go to the belvedere overlooking the sea.
