Until around 1800, a small Romanesque church stood here in the municipal cemetery, which gradually fell into disuse. The choir, with a mysterious "stone head" low in an outer wall, remained standing until 1856. Around 1880, it made way for the current chapel. The stone head, referred to in publications as "Apollo's head," was recycled and placed on the front facade. An old custom was associated with it: on the day of their First Communion, children would throw stones at the head. This was interpreted as a renunciation of paganism. The custom continued until 1856.

Protected chapel built about 1880. The image on the facade is of some pagan deity (Appolokop). According to the lengende, the children who had taken their first communion at mass would come here and throw stones at the statue as a sign of renunciation of the idol.
